Exclusively online on Luxxdesign.com, Mariaflora is a new brand created by textile entrepreneur Filippo Uecher. A spirited array of fabrics, Mariaflora believe a fabric is born from what you have inside; it’s the result of experiences, family traditions, recollections of a loving past and significant family bonds. It is no surprise then that the name Mariaflora comes from the names of Uecher’s beloved grandmothers, Maria and Flora, two women who gave him the wisdom and inspiration to create this collection.

Mariaflora’s fabrics are made in Biella in Italy, an area rich in the tradition of making and working fine textiles, and where exquisite fabrics have been produced since the 11th Centtury. To honor this tradition, Mariaflora set up home in an early 19th Century building in this old weaving town.

Mariaflora’s fabrics are smart and refined, suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. They are perfect for poolsides, backyards, boats, but also indoor in rooms where the rays of the sun, hands of young children or the family pet call for something beautiful and refined but at the same time strong and long-lasting. Fabrics full of verve that speak to the heart and history of artisanal Italian weaving, amazingly soft to the tough and milled to hold up to the rigors of outdoor use and modern living.
