TOTALLY DEDICATED TO MADE IN ITALY

NEW ON LUXXDESIGN: RUFFONI, SPECIALTY COOKWARE

In 1931 grandfather Antonio made his first copper pan. In 1962, Antonio’s son Fremide created Ruffoni out of his love for copper. Ruffoni is located in Omegna, at the foot of the Alps on the shore of the quiet Orta lake, for ages the land of coppersmiths and till today one of the most important hubs in Italy for the production of pots and small home appliances.

The manufacture of copper is a real passion for Ruffoni. The company’s mission is the achievement of very high quality standards without frills. The key words for Ruffoni are usefulness, simplicity of use and precise finishing touches. Ruffoni believes that to produce high-performance products the choice of the ingredients and working method is fundamental.

And so, the copper is purchased only from certified suppliers and the thickness is specified depending on the article purpose and on the type of cooking; the tin is produced specifically for Ruffoni, with the most advanced technologies of refining for highest purity and compliance with international regulations. Handles are produced in brass using the ancient method of mould melting and are chosen based on the individual products. The rivets are very thick and are made in steel alloys not to be subjected to slow but irreversible corrosion. The packaging is made with recyclable materials and chemical procedures are banished in all the phases of manufacturing. In short, everything is done according to the best techniques and using the best materials on the market.

Turning, hammering, tinning and shining are made manually to guarantee the highest quality of finishing, while the pressing is done with modern machines. And as further testament to their dedication to excellence, Ruffoni normally cooperates with grand-cuisine experts to make sure they products work as well as they look. Maybe the best way to describe Ruffoni is by using their own words:

One request. Please don’t ask us to make low quality items, articles that have only the outward look of copper or cooktools that are lined with chemical procedures. That is not the Ruffoni way. Thanks.
