The seed of innovation was already present in Fratelli Guzzini from the year of the company’s birth in 1912. This seed of innovation was made fertile by Enrico Guzzini, a man with an open mind who drew upon his experiences, including those abroad, to set about re-launching an ancient craft – producing elegant ox horn items.
Today, Guzzini products can be found in homes, restaurants and hotels in 85 countries throughout the world. Much of this success is due to a basic quality in the company’s DNA – a curiosity for innovation.
With Guzzini, designers have always been asked to be very daring, but with a keen awareness of all that is new and interesting in the world. Designers have unfailingly responded with enthusiasm since the pioneering times of Luigi Massoni and Rodolfo Bonetto, followed by Noorda, Antonio Citterio, Santachiara, Sottsass, right up to the more contemporary Robin Levien, Angeletti Ruzza and Karim Rashid, to mention but a few. There is a positive synergy between designers and Guzzini, a common aim of achieving quality.
Design is therefore at the heart of Guzzini’s corporate philosophy. Over time, in addition to achieving business success, rewarded by a significant number of prestigious International Awards, such as the Compasso d’Oro, Design Plus, Good Design Award, IF Product Design Award and Red Dot Award.
