THE HISTORY

As it often happens in Italy, the story of Le Sirenuse is the story of a family, the love for their land and the commitment to excellence, all of which made this boutique hotel a destination famous all over the world since it first opened its doors.

It all started back in 1951, when Aldo, Paolo, Franco and Anna Sersale decided to revolutionize their home overlooking the bay of Positano, transforming it into a small hotel, making it today one of the best luxury hotels boasting numerous awards.

Since 1992 Antonio, the son of Aldo, successfully manages the hotel, while his wife, Carla, designs the collection for the boutique Emporio Le Sirenuse in Positano. Marina, daughter of Paolo, created with her husband Sebastián Alvarez Murena the line of perfumes Eau D’Italie.

THE HOTEL

The hotel offers 58 rooms, including suites and junior suites decorated with antique and contemporary furniture, Oriental and European, white walls, vaulted ceilings and floors of handmade Vietri tiles with private balcony or terrace. Guests can luxuriate with Frette linen personalized with Le Sirenuse’s logo, while products for body care and fragrances are provided exclusively by Eau d’Italie.

POOL & SPA

The hotel grounds are just as amazing, with the scents of lemons emanating from the surrounding trees that will make you fully experience the real Mediterranean flavor, while the pool makes mistress with a large terrace overlooking the sea with a view to die for.

The hotel also boasts a Spa, a modern space dedicated to relaxation at 360 degrees, designed by the great architect Gae Aulenti, a definite milestone for your holiday, with facial and body treatments and massages with essential and aromatic oils that are sure to relight your senses.

THE RESTAURANTS AND BARS

La Sponda Restaurant offers a fantastic setting for dinner. The restaurant is lit by 400 candles,  background live music with mandolin and guitar will make everything just perfect; but the protagonist is the food: a typical Mediterranean cuisine with local products. Gennaro Russo is the new executive chef of this restaurant, which after working among the most prestigious restaurants, arrived in 2014 at Le Sirenuse. His kitchen has a setting Mediterranean and classic, emphasizing local ingredients respecting the land and traditions.

Champagne & Oyster Bar and Grill An enchanted terrace lit by candles and decorated wicker, a perfect place for an aperitif or a glass of champagne with fresh oysters.

Franco’s Bar is the newest local of the hotel, a roof terrace that pays tribute to Franco Sersale, a collector who has given it a stylistic inside environment, the furniture and artworks decorate the space and make it almost of another era.

EMPORIO LE SIRENUSE

With the Made in Italy collections created by Carla, the wife of the owner of the hotel, the first of Emporio boutique Le Sirenuse was opened in 1990 just across the resort. Today it has expanded to include a small boutique in the lobby, still an exclusive for those who are lucky to visit this magnificent place.

FILMS & AWARDS

This wonderful hotel doesn’t go unnoticed and unsurprsingly many directors have chosen it to be the set of their movies, amng which Spring Summer by John Lindquist, Carla and Antonio’s Semaine by Sophie Edelstein and Le Sirenuse by Poppy de Villeneuve.

Winner of numerous awards, in 2016 it was named 2016 Travel + Leisure – Best small boutique hotels, #21 the most romantic hotels in Europe, World’s best hotel service; 2016 Conde’ Nast Traveller. It was also included on the CN Traveler Gold List.
